“Lucy's silent retreat was such a welcomed rest. I had never experienced true silence, without distracting myself away from present moment with music, reading or writing. It was like giving myself the gift of simply being and what a lovely place to rest!"

About Lucy

I’m Lucy Fox, Chief Welcomer at Gift House Retreats. In the 90s, I spent one silent week each year here, exploring the art of quiet—sometimes reading, sometimes not, sometimes talking to the dog, sometimes not. Those annual weeks of silence became my steady ground.

When I became a mother, the practice paused. Now that my daughter’s a teen, I’ve returned—to the ritual of the silent retreat and the deep healing this place offers.  Also, after 30 years as a psychotherapist, I'm comfortable with the range of feelings quiet can allow—and let silence do its gentle work.  Join me in this gorgeous place in the comfort of silence.
