Gift House isn't a traditional business - it's a community-building venture operating on a gift economy model.

Your membership does four things:

  1. Funds the mission - Makes FREE Gift Respite weekends possible for exhausted caregivers (March), teachers (August), and community organizers (November "Rest is Resistance")

  2.  Gives you radical access - Unlimited retreat weekends with discounted fees and free accommodation at a waterfront architect-designed home 

  3. Builds community - You become a Partner in Peace with others who value rest and want to build something meaningful

  4. Locks in founding year pricing - 2026 prices won't last. Founding Members (anyone joining in 2026) lock in their rate for 3 years (2026-2028)

    For those building peace as a way of life. Your membership sponsors multiple free Gift Respite weekends for exhausted caregivers, teachers, and community organizers.

Give a Membership

A Gift House Collective membership makes a beautiful gift — for a birthday, a milestone, or simply because someone deserves rest. Any tier can be purchased as a gift.

Give Your Perks

Membership retreat perks can be donated to our free respite program, offering weekends of rest to caregivers, teachers, and community advocates who give so much to others.

Gift Giver -Skill/Barter

Same benefits as River Keeper, earned through contributing needed skills.

Most valuable skills for Year 1:

  • Carpentry/building projects

  • Social media management (teaching Lucy to post on Instagram!)

  • Administrative support (email/DM monitoring, booking management)

  • Cooking for retreats (meal coordination / cookies for caregivers!)

  • Alternative/sustainable energy consultation
